As a Doctor of Optometry, part of my commitment to my patients is ongoing professional education.  As technology and the world around us changes, I have to keep up-to-date, because I have to provide the best care possible for your eyes.

Eye Care Nanaimo grew in size a few years ago, and we continue to improve our facility. Our ability to serve your and your family's eye care needs has been increased with Dr. Ryan Magyar joining our practice.
Ryan grew up on a tobacco farm in southern Ontario, near Tillsonburg, where he went to high school. This spring he graduated with honours from the University of Waterloo, with both his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry degrees.
Dr. Geneau and the staff of Eye Care Nanaimo are thrilled to have Dr. Magyar with us. He had spent some time last year doing a clinical internship in our office, and quickly came to appreciate all that Nanaimo and central Vancouver Island have to offer. With his favourite activities including camping, kayaking, surfing, skiing, motorcycles and music, Ryan will fit right in!
While Ryan was interning with us, we were impressed with his clinical skills and knowledge, and his compassionate and friendly attitude towards his patients. We know that he will provide the quality of care that our patients deserve and expect.
Dr. Ryan Magyar is very excited to begin practicing Optometry at Eye Care Nanaimo, and is looking forward to the outdoor activities and the beauty of Vancouver Island.
